Privacy Policy

We collect information in a few ways:

• Account information — name, email address, password (stored hashed), and profile details you add such as a bio or avatar
• Content — editorials, books, chapters, wall posts, comments, messages and media you upload or send
• Payment information — handled directly by Stripe; we receive confirmation of transactions but never store your full card number
• Usage information — pages viewed, content read, features used, and device/browser information, collected automatically as you use the Platform
• Communications — messages you send us through the contact form or support channels

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate the Platform — authenticate you, display content, process token purchases and payouts
• Power features like notifications, messaging, follows and search
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse and violations of our Terms of Service
• Respond to support requests and contact form submissions
• Improve the Platform based on how it's actually used

We don't sell your personal information to third parties. Taongaf shows ads served by Google AdSense; if you accept advertising cookies, Google may use your visit to Taongaf to show and measure ads under its own advertising policies — see our Cookie Policy for details and how to decline.

Token purchases, Studio subscriptions and creator payouts are processed through Stripe. When you make a purchase or connect a payout account, you share information directly with Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy. Taongaf receives transaction confirmations and the minimum account details needed to reconcile your wallet balance — we don't store full card numbers or bank account details ourselves.

Taongaf uses cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and keep the Platform secure (for example, CSRF protection on forms). These functional cookies apply automatically. Separately, and only if you accept them in the cookie banner, Google AdSense sets cookies to show and measure ads — see our Cookie Policy for the full breakdown of what we set, why, and how to change your choice.

We share information only where necessary:

• With Stripe, to process payments and payouts
• With infrastructure providers who host the Platform and its data, under contracts that limit their use of it
• With other users, to the extent your profile and public content is meant to be visible to them, based on your visibility settings
• Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Taongaf or its users

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes — for example, transaction records related to token purchases and payouts.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information via your account settings
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to or restrict certain uses of your information

To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we'll respond as required by applicable law.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including password hashing and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute protection — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.

Taongaf isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from users under that age. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform evolves. We'll post changes here with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you directly.
